Liberating the world from darkness, through the light of God's Word.
The vision was given to Bishop Peter Lwaya on 13 September 2003, and God's Light Christian Church was established in Nairobi in November 2005.
OUR HISTORY
From one congregation to a family of branches
2003
The Vision
God gave the vision to Bishop Peter Lwaya on 13 September 2003.
2005
Church Established
GLCC was officially established in Nairobi CBD in November 2005.
2007
Commissioned
Commissioned by Pastor John Adelekan (Winners Chapel East & Southern Region Africa).
2008
Government Registration
Officially registered by the Government of Kenya; relocated to Umoja.
2012–2013
First Branches
Matuu (2012) and Thika (2013) branches opened.
2017
Consecration
Bishop Peter Lwaya and Rev. Trizah Lwaya consecrated, November 2017.
2018–2019
Growth
Royal Family Academy launched (2018); Kitengela Branch and Chen Wealth Sacco established (2019).
2020
New Headquarters
Liberation City, Joska became the new main sanctuary and headquarters.
2024–Today
21 Years Strong
The former Umoja sanctuary became the Umoja Branch. Today GLCC has branches at Joska (HQ), Umoja, Matuu, Thika, Kitengela, Kivaa and Koma.
